Day 1 - Cochin
Arrive, transfer from international airport to hotel. Evening visit
Kathakali dance show followed by a welcome dinner.

Day 2 - Cochin
Morning city tour. Evening visit a Kerala family and witness the demonstration of Malabari cuisine. The culinary skills of the
various communities of Kerala has given a cuisine of
great variety. While Hindus specialize in delicious vegetarian food,
the Muslims and Christians excel in non vegetarian specialties.

Day 3 - Cochin/Alleppey (Houseboat)
Drive to Alleppey and embark the houseboat on the backwaters of
Kerala. Evening cooking demonstration by the houseboat cook. Almost
every dish prepared in Kerala has coconut and spices added to it.
Tender coconut water is also a refreshing nutritious thirst
quencher.

Day 4 - Kumarakom/Lake Periyar
Wildlife Sanctuary Disembark at
Kumarakom and drive to Thekkady. The drive is one of the most
beautiful, with coconut groves at the
lower level and rubber, tea and spice plantations as you climb.
Afternoon boat ride on Lake Periyar to view wild animals drinking or
taking a dip. A cooking demonstration is
followed by dinner at Spice Village.

Day 5 – Periyar
In the morning take a walk through the Periyar National Park. Rest
of the day at leisure. Optional visit to the spice plantations to
know about the spices being used all over India and most part of the
world.

Day 6 - Periyar/Madurai
Drive to Madurai (4 hrs). Afternoon visit Madurai including the
spectacular Meenakashi temple with a marvelous hall of a thousand
pillars – all of which are elaborately sculpted.

Day 7 - Madurai/Chennai/Covelong
A day at leisure, (check out at noon), transfer to the airport for
flight to Chennai (Madras). Transfer to Fisherman’s Cove at Covelong
Beach.

Day 8 - Covelong
Morning visit Mahabalipuram temples – a historical retreat set
amidst natural beauty. This open air museum of ancient Pallava art
and architecture is now a World Heritage Site. A cooking
demonstration followed by dinner with cuisine boasting of the
Coromandel Coast specialties, derived from Chef’s tour of homes on
the East Coast of Tamil Nadu.

Day 9 - Madras/Hyderabad
Morning flight to Hyderabad. Afternoon visit Salarjung museum
housing some of the most precious artifacts including a unique
collection of miniature paintings.

Day 10 - Hyderabad
Full day visit of Hyderabad – the pearl city and Golconda Fort – the
fortress capital of Qutab Shahi Nizam, who ruled over the largest
state in South India until India’s Independence in 1947. In the
evening witness a demonstration of Hyderabadi cuisine which is
famous all over the world. The Nawabs who ruled over the Deccan
brought some of the best cooks from all over the country to make the
Deccan the food capital of all items. So much so that when you talk
of Andhra or its capital, Hyderabad, visions of a mouthwatering
biryani come to mind. The biryanis (flavoured rice with meat or
vegetables) is one of the most distinct
Hyderabadi food.

Day 11 - Hyderabad/Bangalore
Flight to Bangalore. Transfer to hotel. Afternoon visit the garden
city of India which also has the distinction as Silicon Valley.

Day 12 - Bangalore/Goa
Flight to Goa. Transfer to hotel. Afternoon free on the beach. Goa,
formerly a Portuguese colony is a popular beach
hideaway and an internationally famous party paradise.

Day 13 - Goa
Morning free. Afternoon city tour. Evening witness the demonstration
of traditional Konkan food and famous Goan curries. Vinegar lends a
different taste to the meat dishes of Goa. The pork sorpotel,
vindaloo, the Goan sausages and the chicken Xakuti or cafreal are
inimitable.

Day 14 - Goa
Day at leisure. Along the beaches in Goa are restaurants selling
unbelievable seafood: whole lobsters, mackerel masala and of course
mellow, cooling Indian beer.

Day 15 - Goa/Mumbai
Flight to Mumbai and transfer from Domestic to International Airport
for connecting your onward f
